We believe that "Every child matters" and deserves a place in the world where they can:

  • Be healthy

  • Stay Safe

  • Enjoy and achieve

  • Make a positive contribution

  • Achieve economic wellbeing

Based on our principles of quality care and development, we provide an individual care package suited to the needs of each child. This recognises and adapts to the child's unique needs, building a world around them which enables them to achieve positive outcomes.

Serenity was founded by three likeminded individuals with different skill sets but with a common goal of providing the best possible care for children living with autism and learning disabilities.

Naveed Ahmed is a chartered architect and registered both with the Architects Registration Board and the Royal Institute of British Architects. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial and healthcare projects including hospitals and care homes. He has direct experience of working with individuals living with autism.

Having run many businesses, he understands the needs of a business. This helps us to run a sustainable business that helps us to deliver the high quality of care we provide to our young people.

Sofia Younis is a very experienced, child focussed individual. She has over 20 years experience of working directly with children, young people, professionals and birth families.

Sofia has a background that includes Pediatric nursing, fostering, adoption and residential care. She has helped set up and develop many services for various Local Authorities and worked at a management/director level in both the public and private sectors. Sofia has maintained on-going professional relationship with the Local Authorities and has built an enviable reputation.

Sofia has been involved in community work with vulnerable young people and has also been involved with associated court work, where she has built an excellent rapport.

We provide our residents with

  • A valued staff group, who are appropriately trained and committed to life-long learning, to provide 24 hour specialist care 365 days per year.

  • Specialist autistic spectrum disorders care based on a person centred approach. Our Staff receive a specific training in this area of care.

  • Hotel, catering and laundry services. Good quality food features highly in our home. Residents are actively encouraged to participate in menu designing and planning. Choice, variety and balance is key and resident participation in this process ensures those requirements are met.

  • Good quality accommodation provided in modern facilities, many of which are purpose-built/refurbished with en suite rooms and attractive grounds.

  • High staffing ratios at all times in order to support the specific needs of each individual resident.
