Your Specialist Children’s Care Home in Birmingham

The journey for Serenity started over a decade ago when our founder Sofia Younis noticed a lack of specialist autism care homes in the local area.

Sofia brings over 30 years of experience in social work and a passion for providing a sensitive, child-focused environment. Dedicated to providing a place where every child and young person can reach their full potential, we set up Serenity to do just that.

Complex Care Needs

Specialist Children’s Care

Raising a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) – or any other learning or behavioural disorder – presents a wide range of challenges.

As experts in looking after those with emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated additional needs, we provide an environment that caters to their unique needs and helps them grow and progress at their own pace.

All of our children and young people are given their own room which they are welcome to make their own.

opportunities, progression, independence

Supported Accommodation for Young Adults

Bridging the gap between residential care homes and independent living, our supported accommodation services are essential for the continued progression of those with complex backgrounds.

Offering those between the age of 16 to 21 opportunities, independence and a sense of ownership. We support them with their independent living skills to provide them with skills that will prepare them for their future living in the community. We want to help the young people build trust and feel safe and protected, warm and comforted with trained and trusting people around them. We will welcome those from many different backgrounds who may have behavioural, social and emotional difficulties to enable them to live the most exceptional life as possible.

The facilities include spacious ensuite bedrooms with individual kitchenettes, along with a shared and furnished lounge, dining room, kitchen and garden facilities for socialising.

Rewarding Opportunities for All

Looking to progress your career in social care? We provide training, development and benefits to those passionate about providing care to children in need. This is a truly fulfilling environment where you can enjoy fair wages, regular reviews, and worthwhile work helping vulnerable young people flourish.

All of our staff are subject to rigorous background checks to ensure the safety of our children and young people.
